Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy S6
Samsung just took the wraps off of the Galaxy S6, the big thing. The Galaxy S6 will sport an all metal frame with a glass back that is only 6.8 mm thick. The quality is the biggest and brightest feature, but that also means no removable battery and no microSD slot for expanded storage. The good news is that you can buy your S6 with as much as 128 GB of internal storage to ensure that you don’t run out of space.

The rear camera is now 16 MP and include optical image stabilization. More importantly, the software has been simplified. Even more importantly is the included f/1.9 lens can take pictures and video in extreme low light. They showed an amazing comparison on stage against the iPhone 6. You can also start the camera app in less than a second. Object Tracking Auto Focus is also new to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

As I mentioned, no microSD slot is included but they are offering 32, 64, and 128 GB options with an all new flash technology that is faster and more efficient.

The display is promised to be the best  ever with 76% more pixels than the Galaxy S5.

The battery is smaller than the S5, but the hope is that the new processor is efficient enough to overcome that. You can also charge this battery faster than any other battery. It only takes 10 minutes to get 4 hours of use. Charging from 0 to 100% can be done in 1/2 the time as the iPhone 6. There is also wireless charging, which is now built-in. What’s cool is that it includes WPC and PMA technologies. This means it will work with any wireless charger on the market.

TouchWiz is slightly toned down, but you will find many apps that are only available in the Samsung Apps store. They are also offering new features like the ability to send a stock text response to a caller that you can’t answer by simply touching the heart rate monitor at the back of the device.
